NNCU 2021

Find Out MORE

2021 Season Format & Dates

The 2021 season has a later start date than usual, starting on Saturday 17 April with grading games for open grades.  The first week of Round One (and the first week for our closed Premier grades) is on Saturday 8 May.   The season will finish at the usual time, with finals day on 28 August.
The later start is possible as Easter is early in 2021, and also due to adjustments to the Challenge Match and Finals formats:
  • Round one challenge matches will only be played in Premier 1 & 2 grades, and these two matches will be played midweek.  Senior grades will have an automatic promotion/relegation based on round one results.
  • Semifinals will involve all teams in all grades.  Premier 1, Premier 2 and Senior 1 will also each have one match played midweek ahead of finals day.  On finals day, only the final game for each grade will be played.

2021 Trials

These are now complete.  Teams/Squads will be named at our AGM on 9th March.

  • Play by the rules.
  • Never argue with an official.  If you disagree, have your captain or coach approach the official during a break or after the game.

  • Work equally hard for yourself and your team.  Your team's performance will benefit, so will you.
  • Be a good sport.  Cheer all good play, whether it is by your team or the other team.
  • Treat all players as you would like to be treated.  Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage of another player.  Co-operate with your team-mates and opponents.  Without them there would be no game.
